The show is scheduled for Hyde park on July 3rd 2009. The full band consisting of Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and Dave Rowntree will be together on the stage for the firs time in over eight years.Tickets for the event are priced at a staggering £45 and will go on sale at 9am on Friday the 16th through the concert promotor, Live nation.

The band had never really split up in the first place but sort of drifted apart amidst rumors of disagreements and arguments. However the band recently posted a video on their website where the band were greeting each-other warmly and discussing their reunion in detail.

Since the band's hiatus lead singer, Damon Albarn has produced several concept pieces of work including the Japanese opera, Monkey. He has also produced one of the biggest dance bands ever with, Gorillaz with several number one hits. Damon Albarn said on the websites video that he was very excited to get back together with Blur once more and is looking forward to 'share a bit of happiness'.

There is no doubt that the band will rekindle their success. back in the 1990's they racked up four number one songs in the charts. In 1999 Coxon went solo and Albarn started the band, Gorillaz with Jamie Hewlett and James co-wrote songs for Sophie Ellis Bextor and Faithless. In 2002 the group got back together to make the album, Think Tank but during the production guitarist Coxon left the band. The remaining members promoted the album but no further albums were made.

Blur join a long list of other bands that have reunited recently including, The Police, genesis, Led Zeppelin and the Spice Girls have all reunited.

Save Money and Time when Learning Guitar

Learning how to play the guitar today is much different then it would be learning before dvd's and the Internet. When I first started it was with a simple book that taught me the basics, today with new technology any adult or youth can learn from a guitar lessons dvd in less time and a lot easier.

I want to explain the benefits of teaching yourself guitar from a dvd rather then taking private guitar lessons.

Let's Save some Money

It's not cheap to take private guitar lessons. Most guitar instructors charge between $10 and $30 for a single lesson each week. Contrast that with a one time fee of between $50 and $150 (depending on the dvd you buy) and there are some big savings to be had.

Most guitar instruction dvd courses such as Learn and Master guitar will provide you with enough content to teach yourself for over a year.

Time Savings

If you're an adult then you have a job, family and friends you have to tend to each day. As an adult being able to learn guitar on your own terms when you have free time makes things a bit easier.

It can be no easy task to get to a guitar lesson at the exact same time every Tuesday night if you have other responsibilities to deal with. Especially if there are kids to cart around to engagements and other social and family items to tend to.

When learning using dvd guitar lessons you can sit down and watch and learn and entire lesson when you have the time to commit, that may or may not be at the same time each week.

What to Shop For

Ensure the lessons you're buying were created by a good reputable guitar instructor or player, also the content should be enough to last you for 10-12 months. Some of the less expensive guitar lesson dvds you can purchase at a local music store won't get you very far as their is minimal lesson content included.

Also if possible look for a sample of the audio and video quality the product was filmed with.A bad quality video can make even the best guitar lessons useless.

What's the Fastest way to Learn Guitar?

For youth and adults alike learning to play the guitar can bring a lot of joy. We'd sit captive watching MTV or VH-1, hanging on the vee-jay's every word, waiting for him to say our favorite artist's new video was up next. We listened to Kurt Loder give us our music news and watched as "music television" became little more than a hodge-podge of reality tv, trashy sitcoms, top countdowns and shows like "Pimp My Ride." What we needed was a place on the internet for new music to debut. That place, which is largely still the reigning champion of free video, is YouTube.

Have you dreamt of being on American Idol? Do you write or perform your own music and wish to be discovered? Well, posting your original music videos on YouTube just might make you world-famous! Just ask Chris Crocker, whose rants about Britney Spears scored him a spot in Weezer's latest music video. Then there's Terra Naomi, whose YouTube music clips earned her a recording contract with Island Records. Similarly, unknown artist Esmee Denters toured with Justin Timberlake, following his viral video debut! Maybe you like the violin too.

In addition to uploading your own music, you can also hunt for music videos from new and emerging artists. For instance, you can type genres into the search engines, look up a band you heard of on Myspace to get an idea of their live performances, check out one of the YouTube music channels or type in a keyword like "unsigned" or "indie." One of the site's best features is that little sidebar next to all the videos, which offers other recommended selections, so perhaps you can watch one of your favorite bands and see another recommended band that you may not have heard before.

Myspace videos are picking up steam, but still lag behind the more established YouTube selection. If you want to post a video on your Myspace profile, then it doesn't really matter which site you pull the video codes from, as they both work essentially the same way. There are also third party sites, like www.pimpmyspace.com, that allow you to snag music for your site. To add music videos to your site, you'll need the code with the words "," not just the url. Just highlight and cut the entire code, go into your Myspace editor and paste the code into one of your windows. A good place to add music is in the "favorite music" section, but you may also choose to add it under "heroes," "television," "general" or "about me."

Getting Retro with Vintage Turntables

Vintage turntables are hot right now. Even though there are new CD turntables available, and USB turntables for easy mixing on your laptop, people are still looking for the old school turntable they started doing their thing on.

Who is looking for Vintage Turntables?

There are all sorts of people searching for turntables from back in the days. Grandparents want them because they miss the sound that they used to listen to music to, or they want to have something nostalgic in their living room.

DJ’s who started in the mid 70 or 80 want vintage turntables to bust their old moves. They just feel like the cross fader or the pitcher was better back in the days.

Retro is HOT and there is no different in the music industry. People want to represent their roots, and play the music on the tools they used, or their musical heroes used.

Vintage Turntables - Where to Find Them?

There are still a lot of good quality vintage turntables around. The website http://www.vintage-turntables.com pushes more players than never before. If there are any flee markets in your area you might want to give them a visit. This is a great place to find vintage turntables. One other tip is to ask your old ones if they have a turntable set in a dusted room somewhere.

You will be able to find a lot of turntables available from back in the days. Garrard, Rek-O-Kut, Bose and Sanyo, together with Technics, Sony and Pioneer. You can still also find all the parts you need available in most stores. you will probably have to struggle a little to get some of the parts that gets destroid. You can do a search on eBay, or in other cases replace them with new parts.

Is the Sound Quality Better?

This is a discussion people fight about all the time. The modern turntables have several benefits, and will in many cases present a stronger and more digital sound. The vintage turntables still play the classic sound that a lot of people want to listen to. The sound is often more rusty with a nostalgic feeling. Your classic vinyls was developed to be played on one of these type of instruments.

More bad news for MJ

Michael Jackson is facing new and fresh legal action after a Sheikh has claimed that he paid the singer for some un-delivered work months ago.

Sheikh Abdulla Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the King of Bahrain's son, claims that he paid Micheal Jackson over £4.7M and built him a recording studio in advance for the production of two exclusive albums a stage show and an autobiography. The young Prince also bought him a Rolls Royce costing over £190,000. The Prince said that Micheal Jackson had pocketed the money and not delivered the work.

According to various sources Micheal Jackson thought that the vast sums of money were 'gifts' and he did not realise that the Sheikh was expecting this work to be compulsory, more of an idea. A trial in the High Court of California is set to get underway on November 17th however an out of court settlement is highly likely. I am positive that Mr.Micheal Jackson is not too keen to re-appear in court anytime soon considering his history over the last 5 years or so.

After Micheal Jackson was acquitted of Child Abuse he escaped to Behrain where he became friends with the Prince. Whilst Micheal Jackson was staying with the Prince of Behrain he payed him in excess of £4.5 Million for the work.

Last week Micheal Jackson sold his Neverland ranch for an incredible £16M. It is hard for Micheal jackson to stay out of legal trouble? It seems as though everyone is out for a bit of MJ whether it be news on a new album or claiming compensation off the pop star.

Micheal Jackson is however planning to relinquish himself from his own financial turmoil as he plans to release a new album with Black Eyed Peas singer, will.i.am. Micheal Jackson has been working on his new record for over 2 years with the Black Eyed Peas frontman and is yet to release information on when it will come out. will.i.am claimed that you cannot put Micheal Jackson in any category like you can with, Justin Timberlake, Rhianna or Usher. Working with Micheal Jackson is like nothing else I have experienced. You cannot expect timeframes from him.

Learn to Play the Guitar Online - The Easy Way

No more need for Weeknight Guitar Lessons

Right. A truly talented musician would teach guitar lessons in some retail shop’s back room. You will learn more with someone who can play a respectable rendition of music than trying to learn from a book. Playing guitar well is something that required way more skill than learning some basic chords.

I learned to play cowboy chords from my roommate.

Whose idea of rhythm was a steady strumming only varied in speed for a song’s tempo. It wasn’t long that Roomie seemed the novice and I the seasoned strummer. How is that possible?I had a feeling that learning music and guitar was more then just steady strumming and an E chord. It didn't matter how long we jammed, he just couldn't get past that boring same old strum.

There’s a trick to getting your fingers to bend or stretch just right for good tone.

It takes exercises and practice in order to get your hand to be able to manipulate just the right way to make chords and the right sound. If you don’t press each string with even pressure your music will be sour. Before I had anyone teach me how to move my fingers correctly and where to push down to make good barre chords etc. I just stuck to playing simple songs that were in E G C and D.

Trying to get past the cowboy chords with only a book proved fruitless.

I ended up getting so busy with everything else in life my guitar ended up finding a permanent home under my bed.You can picture my excitement when I realized you could learn technical guitar theory, advanced chords, and scales all from accomplished guitar players. Live lessons I could take whenever my hectic schedule allowed.Being able to learn guitar online with videos, what an awesome idea.

I have found exactly the missing link to learning to play accomplished guitar …

I'm teaching myself to play the guitar entirely from free videos available online. A really full-blown dvd guitar course called Amazing Guitar Secrets will help me finish learning to play the guitar like a pro. Now I can really progress away from those silly basic guitar chords because Amazing Guitar Secrets teaches you in the best structure way to learn thoroughly. You can get more details on the course I'm using in this Amazing Guitar Secrets review, of course that is unless you're content knowing your 5-10 chords and playing the same songs over and over.

It might be however that guitar is not for you and you end up buying karaoke machines instead.

Learn how to play the Acoustic Guitar for free.

Many Acoustic Guitarists learn to play for free. They are an unusual breed: many are self-taught or, at most, have taken a handful of lessons from a friend. It is an affective way of touching a woman´s heart and showcasing a man´s talent and sincerity.

However, learning how to play acoustic guitar is not easy as it looks. It takes time and a lot of effort to memorize the chords and to master the riffs of the songs. A serenade with mediocre accompaniment of an acoustic guitar can sometimes render the whole presentation a flop and ends up miserably for the man who was serenading.

There are several ways with which you can master acoustic guitar like the great guitar legends such as Andie Mckie, Tommy Emmanuel, Kurt Cobain, Derek Trucks and many others.

One of these is by taking special lessons which is often offered in schools or companies selling musical instruments. If you have no money to go for guitar lessons and believe that you can learn this on your own, there are several books and magazines providing the basic and even advance techniques in playing the instrument.

The internet is also a really convenient and good source of information on how to play the acoustic guitar. Aside from written tutorials, there are flash videos like in YouTube showing the viewer how to play the song. Sometimes, it even includes the tablature on the screen simultaneous with the tutorial.

The only drawback about learning lessons online is that the lessons that can be learned are in bits and pieces. Thankfully, there are many other online acoustic guitar courses you can take online. These offer the complete guitar learning package and the cost is very affordable.

I highly recommend the Jamorama acoustic guitar course if you want to learn how to play acoustic guitar online.

Are You Interested in Learning How To Play Guitar Fast?

Have you always wanted to learn how to play the guitar? You're not alone. The last few years have seen huge growth in the market for these popular, portable music sources. But once you know a little about the various types of devices and their capabilities, you can choose the MP3 player that is right for your use and your budget.

Hard Drive Based Players

The first main type is the hard drive based MP3 player. These are the highest capacity devices, starting at 20 GB of memory and going up from there. A hard drive based player, as the name indicates, contains its own hard drive and can probably hold every song you own. These players also tend to have larger screens, more features, and are easier to use--some even play videos. As you might expect, they also cost more, starting around $200 for the less expensive models, and going up to $400 or more at the top end.

Micro Hard Drive Players

These devices offer some of the features and memory capability of a hard drive MP3 player, but at a slightly lower price and with greater portability. Their miniature hard drives yield decent memory (up to 12 GB), and they still have many features to offer. Recently, these "micro-drive" players have begun to be phased out in favor of the high-capacity flash-based players (below), but good models with lots of features are still available in the $150-$250 price range.

Flash Based Players

Perfect to take jogging, hiking, or anywhere you want to be active, as the flash-based MP3 players have no moving parts. They're also smaller than either of the two other types, and can be pretty inexpensive--some models can be purchased for less than $30. Low memory used to be a problem, but advances in technology have changed this. Now most flash players sport at least 512 MB of memory. The downside of a flash MP3 player is that it tends to be less feature-rich than other types, and it can be a bit more difficult to use. Don't expect to find a flash based MP3 player with more than 8 GB of memory.

MP3 CD Players

Though these are becoming rarer these days, you can still find MP3 players that play data CDs with music on them--and they can play your music CDs, too. You can fit about 10 albums' worth of music (approximately 150 MP3 files) on a 650 MB disk. iPods are really popular but if you buy one try and see about getting some sort of iPod Screen Protector.

If you're trying to decide on an MP3 and you find yourself a little frazzled--don't worry.
